Waiting for the Future it pays to look what the present offers on green cars.
Never heard about "Hybrid cars"?
They are a combination of two power sources. The most common hybrid cars available on the current market use both electric motors and the petrol combustion engines.
Their batteries (when charged) act as a storage device to power the electric motor, usually working when the vehicle is travelling at low speed or in traffic, usually for city driving.
The gasoline engine, drives the car when more power is needed such as at higher speeds allowing the combustion engine to only operate at its more optimum efficient speeds.
Where can you find a list of the most common hybrid cars available on the market?
On TheCarConnection.com.
You can see all the cars' features, the price and easily decide what could be better for you.
You find detailed descriptions of Toyota Camry Hybrid, or Ford Escape Hybrid, or Honda Civic Hybrid
If you decided to change your car, or if you didn't, but you think that with these oil prices is time to save and help keeping the environment green, it pays to visit this website.

The hot bed for the solar industry
The American Southwest has some of the best solar resources on the globe. Nevada, with abundant land and sunshine is becoming a hot bed for the solar industry. The result is green jobs and billions of investment dollars.
Solar Panel Manufacturing
The opening of Ausra’s solar thermal power factory earlier this week in Las Vegas is a prime example. As the largest plant of its kind in the world, it employs 50 factory workers. At full capacity, the plant can generate 700 MW of solar panels, which could produce enough power for 500,000 homes. This quantity of panels would create an estimated 1,400 solar plant construction jobs.
The factory will produce giant mirrors and absorber tubes that are used for solar power plants. This technology uses the sun to generate heat and spin turbines, thus creating electricity. The giant mirrors follow the sun and reflect it onto fixed absorber tubes that are mounted above.
“Nevada is poised to be a leader in the clean energy revolution,” said U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). “This facility will help position our state as the premiere place to invest in these new technologies. As the factory expands operations and we continue to invest in clean energy, we’ll create thousands of good-paying jobs and keep our outdoors pristine for future generations.”

75% of the Universe is "dark energy"
UK astronomers, as a part of the Dark Energy Survey collaboration, have reached a milestone in the construction of one of the largest ever cameras to detect dark energy by completing the shipment of the glass required for the five special lenses. Each step in the process of completing this sophisticated camera brings scientists closer to detecting the invisible matter that cosmologists estimate makes up around 75% of our universe.
The Dark Energy Survey (DES) collaboration involves over 100 scientists from the US, UK, Spain, and Brazil. The goal of DES is to map 300 million galaxies using the Blanco 4-meter telescope; this is a large telescope with new advanced optics, at Chile’s Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory. In order to complete the DES camera assembly, the pieces of glass have been shipped from the US to France, where they will be shaped and polished into their final form. The largest of the five lenses is one meter in diameter, making it one of the largest in the world.
Observations suggest that roughly 4% of the universe is made up from ordinary matter and 22% from dark matter; this leaves 74% unaccounted for – the so-called “dark energy” which scientists claim to be the factor which drives the universe's accelerating expansion. The vast DES galaxy map will enable the astronomers to measure the dark energy far more precisely than current observations. Professor Ofer Lahav, head of the UCL Astrophysics Group, who also leads the UK DES Consortium, said: "Dark energy is one of the biggest puzzles in the whole of physics, going back to a concept proposed by Einstein 90 years ago. The DES observations will tell us if Einstein was right or if we need a major shift in our understanding of the universe.”

One reason more to justify cannabis' use
Scientists from Hungary, Germany and the U.K. have discovered that our own body not only makes chemical compounds similar to the active ingredient in marijuana (THC), but these play an important part in maintaining healthy skin.
This finding on "endocannabinoids" just published online in, and scheduled for the October 2008 print issue of, The FASEB Journal could lead to new drugs that treat skin conditions ranging from acne to dry skin, and even skin-related tumors.
"Our preclinical data encourage one to explore whether endocannabinoid system-acting agents can be exploited in the management of common skin disorders," said Tamás Biró, MD, PhD, a senior scientist involved in the research. "It is also suggested that these agents can be efficiently applied locally to the skin in the form of a cream."

Which kind of load?
I guess, as a woman, one of the greatest invention of our times was the Washing Machine.
I am not so young and I still remember when my mother had to do the weekly laundry.
It used to be a big issue, especially when it came to sheets.
And I still remember our first wonder of washing machine, with two separate places, one to wash and the other to rinse.
And of course I still remember how expensive the first models were and how complicate it was to find, try and decide to buy one.
Now a day there is nothing simpler.
You just go on the right website, where you can compare all the available models and their prices and their features and decide what you want, and buy what you need.
You can even search by Price Range or by Brand or by Features.
The choice is so big that you do not have any excuse anymore not to buy one online!

Democracy: an empty word
Once I learned at school (great times, when they still used to teach and children used to learn) that the State is at the service of the citizen that the State IS the citizen, and the government represents the citizens.
The State should protect citizens with laws, with controls, but it can no longer do that. Its voters are not citizens, but economic groups that influence their opinions through the media.
Their representatives in Parliament don’t have “social equity” as their priority but blind and absolute obedience to the parties that appointed them.
The controlling Authorities are bodies directed by failed politicians on a short leash.
It’s a State that has made public affairs into a market place.
That makes concessions to friends, often even to the government without suffering an identity crisis.
The government doesn't represent the citizens, it "rules" and looks every day a little bit more like the old Monarchies and a little bit less like what we would like it to be.

Are you the lucky owner of a 3g iPhone?
If the answer is yes you also know how "precious" it is and, as all the precious things how you should protect it.
But why ruining such a wonderful design with a thick cover?
Now you can have a 3g iPhone case which is also invisible, so you can protect it and still have it looking as it should.
This invisible shield is made with a thin polyurethane film originally created for the military to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades.
The nice thing is that it won't scratch, whatever you do and however you mistreat it.
And it doesn't protect just the screen, but the whole phone.
But this is not all.
You can count also on another great advantage: it can give to your device an improved grip making it less likely that you will drop it.
And what about this: "Buy the original, award-winning invisible SHIELD for all of your gadgets and get world-class customer service support and get our lifetime free replacement guarantee! Our mission is to keep you as a customer for life."
