The new, right advertisements

All advertisements, particularly television advertisements, are utterly and hopeleessly boring.
They are too outspoken, too definite, too boastful.
Why not evolve a new style in television advertising instead of slavishly imitating the American style of breathless superlatives, with all their silly implications (buy our shampoo and you'll get a husband; buy our perfume and you are sure to be attacked by hungry males)?
I feel sure that the effect of these advertisements could be vastly improved if they were made more realistic.
Some ads, for example, could be given an undertone of gambling:

XYZ: it may relieve your headache. Or of course it may not. Who can tell? Try it. You may be lucky. The odds against you are only 3 to 1.

Or:

Try your luck on BMX fruit juice. Most people detest it, You may be an exception.

Or appeal to man's sense of fairness. A beautiful half-nude girl ( this is typical Italian) might call to the public:

S.O.S We are doing badly. Business is rotten, Buy our razors and give us a chance.
Honestly they are not much worse than other makes.

Or appeal to man's inborn honesty:

Use DXZ Washing Powder.
By the way, have you ever tried the whiteness test?
To be honest DXZ washes greyest, but after all people do not see your underwear (or they are not supposed to).

Or, just moderate your language.
Make no extravagant claims; be vague and incoherent, in other words, be natural:

Our chocolate is rather nourishing.
Never mind the taste.

Or:

Drink our beer. It's dirt cheap and you CAN get used to it.

Or else:

Can you tell the difference between our margarine and our hair tonic? WE can't...

Marketing and bloggers: Why payperpost

1) To be materially rewarded, even in an infinitesimal way.
But then: what do you think a personal blog among millions is worth?

2) To find everyday a new subject to write about.
You can have ten ideas one day and none for a week. But you feel like writing anyway. Also the biggest writers have their blackout, why not you?

3) To feel like a Marketing guy.
Yes, I would consider this as the primary reason. It is a challenge.
If I am able to write on what I like and think, WOULD I be able also to write WHAT others want?

4) It is a new Game. A WORD game. Let's see if I can be better than others...

5) Anyway, in a world where there are more commercials than sold items, more writers than readers, more blogs than bloggers I hope that my readers will take my occasional pay posts for what they are:

Humoristic posts on matters of our life...

Before we approve of your post the advertiser does request: Tell us what you think of the concept.
Please fix and resubmit for approval.

"Customers are looking for clients, not for clicks"
I think this perfectly explains how much better is this kind of advertisement compared to ADsense or pay per click.
And how much better are posts that do not follow the USUAL, American style of breathless superlatives with all their silly implications (buy our shampoo and you'll get a husband; buy our perfume and you are sure to be attacked by hungry males)?
And also of the ones that are too outspoken, too definite, too boastful.
Or the ones that say: try it because I suggest it.
The naivete of the customers, especially of the Internet customers has come a long way far away from silly emulation.
I think effective to make no extravagant claims; to be vague and incoherent, in other words, be natural:

Our chocolate is rather nourishing.
Never mind the taste.

Or:Drink our beer.
It's dirt cheap and you CAN get used to it.

Or else:
Can you tell the difference between our margarine and our hair tonic?
WE can't...

In the end, clients want customers, don't they?
And may be "happy" customers...

Wedding American Style

I am so fond of marriages that I married three times.
Of course three different men.

I didn't want to say: if I had married this instead of that...so I tried the three.
Of course the last is ALWAYS the best.

The problem is that, living in a conservative place like Italy I CANNOT do again the same mistake...so it is better I do everything I can to succeed this time.
May be THIS is the secret for a succesful marriage: wanting it to be succesful, thinking either this or nothing else.

But I saw on the Net a new opportunity for people who are so fond of weddings they would like to go on...
You can always remarry in Las Vegas, WITH THE SAME MAN.

It is true, nothing will change, BUT at least you DID IT AGAIN!

What is entertainment?

Mostly it is the way people can forget their problems, they can live another life, new experiences, new challenges.

It can be a book, a movie, theatre, a video game, and virtual reality offered by the new technologies.
Since the dawn of humanity, man used the brain to build abstracted reality.
That was done in a cave scratching the stone walls to draw hunting scenes in which He was the master and could decide his future.
Later, in a more civilized society man built theatres and actors performed and presented scenes of a life that belonged to somebody else in which the spectator could imagine himself acting and living.
The more realistic, the more catching.
Since then, the entertainment business has gone far on the same road, using the available technology.
TV, in the long run, was for long the best mean to offer a virtual reality in which the consumer could dream to live.

But now, with the Internet and the new technologies we can follow a different and more realistic road.
The entertainment can really become the second life, a virtual life that is so close to the real one, the consumer won’t see much difference.
All his senses will be involved in it (or at least most of them).

What is reality if not the outside reflected on the mirror of our senses?
What if the outside didn’t really exist, or changed in base of the mirror?
What if we built a new outside world perceivable by our senses as well as the real one?
What if the outside world was what we want it to be?
What if life went the way we want?
What if virtual reality was so close to reality as to be almost the same?
The future technology will be able to offer it, in how many years I do not know.
The question now is:
Will it be better or will man just go on being the same?
