Cannabis

Cannabis has been used in Medicine for therapeutical uses for almost 4000 years.

In India it was used mainly for gastrointestinal disorders, insomnia, headaches and as a pain reliever.
It can also have diuretic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties.
In our time it was banned from medical use for its modest actions on behaviour and little hallucinogenic effects.
It was largely used and abused in the sixty by the "flower generation" and consequently labelled as "addicting drug".
Today Cannabis is indicated as an antiemetic for the treatment of nausea and anorexia associated with treatments for cancer, AIDS, and hepatitis.
It is also effective in the treatment of multiple sclerosis.
Smoked cannabis is harmful to the respiratory system. However, this harm can be minimalized or eliminated by the use of a vaporizer or ingesting the drug in an edible form.

Governments more often than not condemn what they cannot control. I believe this is the case with cannabis an MMJ. The number of police officers that would be able to be taken off the streets in Canada and the USA is phenomenal and the tax revenue bountiful.

I feel as if fear is a huge issue in modern society. If we stumbled upon a plant with the properties of cannabis today without previous knowledge of it I do believe that the worlds perspective would bee changed.
