I am far from being on Mubarak´s side, but I cannot but see the hand of US and "Great" Britain on the background.
Historia Magistra vitae, but nobody listens.
For centuries the Europeans have fought each other with poor results...except for the Britons and people who sold weapons and lent money...

Now it is Middle East´s turn.
I do not even talk about Africa, because they will never understand that behind every soldier there is somebody who makes a good profit with war.
Wars are good business, one of the best.
But to understand History one should know it.
That is why there is so much ignorance around.

Chris Hedges' Columns Recognizing the Language of Tyranny is so true and illuminating in its crudeness.
He is able to express what we think and cannot say for a lack of words.
He has them, the right words, and the right picture of what is happening.
Too bad there are too few who can understand.
When the mass will, it will be too late.
It is like cancer, when you detect it, when you have the clear symptoms, it is too late.
You will have to die, because you cannot believe that it can happen.
Just like tyranny, it always happens to the "others".
And when it happens to you, you can just be "appalled", incredulous, devastated.

But Mr. Hedges, let me say, if there are two languages for tyranny, there is just one for the "serfs":

"As for myself, although I realize that there is a limit to what we can do for the 3rd world people who come here, I'm well disposed to the illegals I see around me and all thru out the U.S.

I still don't. And at the same time my neighbors driving their Hummers down to the air conditioned Gambling Casinos, spending their day in dim light, or flying off all over the world for exotic overseas vacations. or taking greasy cruises on massive ships ...

Leipnitz, East Germany where the past is the future

It is some time I do not write anything about East germany.
I have been very busy and no travelling.
I have moved to Muldental, precisely to Leipnitz zum Rittergut.
I live in the Rittergut ( the Schloss), among forests and lakes.
July, August and September were spent in the woods.
I was there most of my day, officially looking for mushrooms (and I found tons of them) but in reality enjoying every bit of it.
They are so dark and silent and there are millions of strange mushrooms, of every color.
You can easily find deers and (rarely) wild pigs.
Millions of birds make useless the music machine.
Now in winter, if possible, the landscape looks even better under the snow and we had a lot of it this year.
I would define East countryside the landscape of the past.
Therefore it is the landscape of the future.
It didn´t live the mad Era of "New is beautiful" "Plastic is better".
Oil didn´t leave big marks here and, since we are almost at "Peak Oil", this will be a Western part untouched by Mac civilisation.
Whoever likes nature and want to breath it, this is a place to be.
